Linda Solimani No but have been looking at them today and was wondering how they faired compared to Kenwood and kitchen aid. I already have my trusted Kenwood but need another mixer to work along side it but not sure what to go for
Anne Corlett Good for the money and great to start out. Got good slow speed for royal icing but fast speeds too for other jobs. Wish I'd got the bigger model though. Got mine through amazon.about an hour ago via Mobile ·
Pippa Hayton I have had mine for a yr. It's v v good, manages to do big loads.about an hour ago via Mobile ·
Susan Haskell i think it is an excellent mixer for the money!!!! makes great bread which means the motor's good.
Loo Helen Nevett I Love mine also I have a 5 litre one the really big ones my only issue is that when parts break the after care when there under a 12 month warrenty is not the best I called after a part but they were out of stock that was in May I was told I would receive replacement part just after the 6th July unfortunately I'm still waiting mine may be an isolated case thought :-( cabout an hour ago via Mobile ·
Jackie Fox Sorry everyone. I brought one and had to send it back. I wasn't happy at all. Kenwood all the way for me x
Aderonke Ronnie Oluwadare Ive been using mine for over a year now. It mixes very well and it's very good. However u have to keep scraping the bottom just for it to be thoroughly and evenly mixed
Ruth Bennett Got mine last week and really happy so far can't compare to Kenwood or kitchenaid though as have neither of thoseabout an hour ago via Mobile ·
Tara Smyth I don't have one,but most of the comments I've seen aren't good!about an hour ago via Mobile ·
Michelle Bray Wilkins I've got one but I find that the whisk don't reach the bottom, so you have to keep stopping & mixing round, that is my only grumble tho x57 minutes ago via Mobile ·
Nikki Healey Yes ive got one, its ok don't mix at bottom properly , have to stop and mix the mixture by hand then move to centre of bowl ... Then use mixer again, which is annoying !49 minutes ago via Mobile ·
Juliana Castañeda I have recently bought one but did not like it. It is soooooo noisy, it is like I've turned on a aeroplane turbine and also it does not touch the bottom of the bowl and have to scrape the bowl all the time. I do not recommend.
Nikki Healey Yes i agree Juliana its so annoying but its what i could afford at the time40 minutes ago via Mobile ·
Nick Thompson I have had one for about a year and i make 1Kg butter cream batches 3-4 times a week week in week out and i have to say its coped very well, the noise is a problem as its very noisy past 4th speed but makes very white butter cream in my opinion, i have never used the kenwoods or kitchen aid but think that i am looking for one soon so if anyone could recommend either of them over the AJ one i would appreciate the feedback thanks Nick Big Nicks Bakery
Sarah Culverhouse I used one when my kitchenaid went for a service, following that experience I would never buy one!! It's worlds apart from a kitchenaid.
Morfydd Davies I bought one second hand about 10 months ago, its good for a load of mixture, but as a few have said, it really doesnt mix at the bottom, have to keep stopping and mixing with wooden spoon, then its ok... good in slow and fast speed though.
Helen Collier I asked the very same question on my page and it came out quite favourably. Going to treat myself (or Hubby is!) H xx
Nina Evans Williams I have one too, love it to bits, mine's called Banksy, as you know Rosie lol! xx20 minutes ago · · 1
The comments about the noise of this mixer never fail to amuse me it's a 1000wt. It will be noisy. I have had three Kenwoods previously since the 50's and it's Andrew James for me. for most things this mixer doesn't even need to be run at the high speeds except whisking.
ReplyDeleteI have the larger andrew james and I love it!
DeleteI have both Andrew James and a Kenwood and there is no comparison. However, it is absolutely fine and does the job as long as you get it BEFORE you get a Kenwood because then there is no going back!! It is much noisier and doesn't go right to the edges of the bowl but it did me fine for a few years. Having said that, mine didn't come with the flexi beater blade so that might be a big improvement. A definite good buy for a new baker I'd say. Does anyone know where I can buy a flexi beater bade as a separate part because I would love to try it to see if it improves the machine (I run cupcake classes and use three different machines to show students the difference between them!)
ReplyDeletewhere can I buy replacement attachments for this mixer. Proving impossible. Help
ReplyDeleteI need to buy replacement parts too, got the 7l stand mixer but struggling to find it anywhere! Any luck finding a supplier? Ta
