I personally don't have one, but £80 for a £200 mixer- it does seem like a BARGAIN!!

  1. The comments about the noise of this mixer never fail to amuse me it's a 1000wt. It will be noisy. I have had three Kenwoods previously since the 50's and it's Andrew James for me. for most things this mixer doesn't even need to be run at the high speeds except whisking.

  2. I have both Andrew James and a Kenwood and there is no comparison. However, it is absolutely fine and does the job as long as you get it BEFORE you get a Kenwood because then there is no going back!! It is much noisier and doesn't go right to the edges of the bowl but it did me fine for a few years. Having said that, mine didn't come with the flexi beater blade so that might be a big improvement. A definite good buy for a new baker I'd say. Does anyone know where I can buy a flexi beater bade as a separate part because I would love to try it to see if it improves the machine (I run cupcake classes and use three different machines to show students the difference between them!)
